Upgrade Programs

High Impact Upgrades,
Not Full Replacement.

Targeted upgrades extend the useful life of your equipment and address the issues that matter most, safety, reliability, ride quality, and code compliance, without the price tag of complete modernization.

01

Door Equipment Upgrades

Door issues drive most service calls. Upgrading door operators, detectors, and gate switches dramatically improves reliability and ride experience.

02

Controller Upgrades

Replace aging relay or first generation microprocessor controllers with modern, serviceable systems, without replacing the entire elevator.

03

Safety Code Upgrades

Address open code deficiencies and bring your equipment in line with current safety codes in every jurisdiction we serve.

04

Fixtures & Cab Refresh

Hall stations, car operating panels, position indicators, lighting, and cab interiors, upgrades that visitors actually see and feel.

05

Ride Quality Improvements

Leveling accuracy, ride smoothness, acceleration, and noise, targeted upgrades that solve specific quality issues without full replacement.

06

Hoistway Equipment Upgrades

Selective replacement of guide rails, brackets, ropes, governors, and limit equipment, strategic improvements where they matter most.

Frequently Asked

Upgrade Questions,
Answered.

Modernization typically means replacing most or all of the elevator's major components, controller, drive, motor, door equipment, fixtures, as a single coordinated project. A targeted upgrade is the opposite: a focused investment in specific components that solve specific problems. For many buildings, well chosen upgrades extend useful life by years at a fraction of the cost of full modernization.
We start with a free site survey. We look at the equipment's current condition, your service history, code status, and how your building uses the elevator. From there, we recommend a sequence of upgrades prioritized by safety, reliability, code compliance, and ROI. You decide which steps to take, and when.
Usually, yes. Most upgrades are phased so that at least one elevator stays in service throughout the project. For buildings with a single elevator, we schedule downtime as predictably as possible, often working extended hours to compress the timeline.
It depends on the equipment and the upgrade. We are transparent about warranty implications before any work begins, and many of our upgrades come with their own component warranties.
It depends entirely on the scope, a controller upgrade is days, a full door package is weeks. As part of every proposal we provide a clear written schedule. We hit the dates we commit to.
Every upgrade we perform is installed to current safety codes and manufacturer specifications. We track inspection windows in the jurisdictions we serve and document the work for your records.
Great question. One of the most common we get asked. MODPROS stands for Modern Professionals. We're a full service elevator company, targeted upgrades are one of the smartest investments many of our customers make, often as an alternative to (or step toward) full modernization.
